Telehealth Using Cisco Jabber Client .v11
Cisco Jabber for PC or Mac is a recommended desktop client for secure video communications used in the SC Telehealth Alliance’s programs. The Jabber client uses Embedded encryption consisting of both Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) to secure video calls between participants. Jabber video also meets the requirements for HIPAA, FERPA and PCI compliance.
You can participate in a SIP based video conference by using Cisco Jabber provided by MUSC. If your PC/Mac meets the minimum requirements for installation and you have an adequate camera and microphone, you can use the Jabber Video client to participate in conferences and share applications. Cisco Jabber is not a web based video conferencing application. Cisco Jabber works with dedicated SIP video conferencing infrastructure to deliver a high definition experience that requires dedicated bandwidth and an appropriate camera with optional headset.
